Hi, I was wondering if using Metropolis as a related text for discovery would disadvantage me in any way?

I'd say so, a good proportion of the state will be analysing, this will decrease the likelihood of you being able to perform as well, because related texts are a good opportunity to increase your marks/band.

Technically, as per BOS, no. It says somewhere on the BOS site that you can use other module prescribed as related texts.

Just because BOSTES says no doesn't mean you will not be disadvantaged. The markers have an inherent bias against those who use prescribed texts as related texts.
