Is anyone else doing this?
For our topic alienation, we have an exam coming up requiring us to choose two texts of our own, to go with our two prescribed texts.
I have a decent novel as a prescribed text, but I was also planning on using song lyrics as my second text.
The song is "Unforgiven" by Metallica.
I get the feeling that not many of the examiners will have heard this song. They claim that it would not matter too much, but I was wondering what your opinion was on the situation.
Had an examiner not ever heard of your text before, would he or she go and look it up?
I feel that without having heard the tune of the song, the lyrics are not enough to get my point across.
Anyway, ideas?
