I had my interview yesterday and I got caught of guard by having 3 people as I expected only 1 person. It made me very nervous and I started talking fast when they answered my questions (interview took around 10 mins).

Has anyone heard back from them? or when will you find out what has happened?

Thank you.

It was okay, I'm not too sure to be honest. Don't know if I impressed them I feel like I just blabbered
Do you know if many people get interviews? I didn't know it was uncommon

the admissions office was tightlipped, but the website says 'shortlisted candidates'... if its anything like undergraduate medicine then generally half to two thirds of interviewees are offered a position
from a logistics perspectives, if they are prepared to pull out three usyd academics who generally include the law dean herself, they probably wouldnt do that for just anyone
its not meant to be a long interview, 10 minutes sounds about right, maybe on the short side.
what did they ask you?

I can't remember everything, something about why I want to study law and why at usyd, and about how I approach study and deal with competition
I feel like I rushed it so now im nervous :(

honestly don't be
I was really hoping to get through the e12 program but i didnt even get to the interview stage, since you got there that means your application really cut above the average :)
I remember tossing up between putting down combined law and the single bachelor degree and now have so many regrets putting combined law :'(
did you see anyone else at yer interview?

Law is so competitive :( the whole interview process just proves it
maybe you can do another course and transfer?

there was no one there before me but I think I saw another guy waiting when I left im not too sure if he was there for e12 though
do you happen to know how many people get an offer?

300 spots are reserved for e12 people and thats across all courses... i cbf looking up the exact number but isnt there like 60 courses? thats roughly 5 spots per course
yeah transfer... i was also hedging doing well in the LAT... did you do that as well?

really less than?
okay im trying to find where i pulled that 300 number from... i might have gotten confused with something else, but as a point of reference, in 2014 they sent out 201 e12 offers... so for this year it would be around that or higher (considering they increased the number of eligible courses)
I am really set on usyd as well... not so keen on unsw cos distance (so far) but i did do the lat... actually found it really easy
are you confident in your atar to get above 95 for e12 law though?

I had my interview on Tuesday and it took around 15-20mins max. I got asked most of the questions you did. I wonder whether we would have to wait till next week to know if we got an offer or not?? Interviews took place over two days and I saw in a 2014 article that 20 offers were made for law. Fingers crossed we have a chance!

That's so much more competitive than I thought :(
Did you get results for the lat? i dont know how it works ahaha
Yeah I'm pretty confident, my atar estimate was higher than 95 so we'll see

Haha, no the lat was only done on monday! results wont come out until november i think. I'm feeling pretty good about cos I found it really easy and it just listening to what people were saying after the exam, it seems a lot of people may have missed the crux of the exam's questions :) i was told that an lat score of around 85 and an atar of 95 would be needed to be competitive for unsw law. (same atar cut off as usyd e12 law). Since, I obvs won't be going into Usyd law now, unsw looks a lot more achieveable :)

I think it went alright, the questions I was asked were why usyd, why law, how I handle competition, study technique, etc. They seemed nice about it but you can never be too sure with these kind of things.
How do you think you went?? Any ideas on how many would have been interviewed??
