The 'thejosiekiller' GUESTIMATE:

A guestimate is pretty much a guess/estimate of what you think your final subject marks will be for this semester.

The word 'guestimate' was made up by thejosiekiller; who will forever be immortalised in this UTS tradition.

e.g.
My Guestimates:
Accounting for Business Combinations (22320): Distinction - High Distinction
Cost Management Systems (22321): Distinction
Applied Company Law (79014): Credit - Distinction
Routing and Internetworks (31277): Credit

So whenever you like, feel free to make a guestimate on your marks. You may do this now or after your final exam =)

SPRING SEMESTER 1, 2008 RESULTS - WEDNESDAY, 16th July 2008:

Long way away.. but FYI.

July 16 2008 Release of Autumn semester results
http://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/cal/intro/dates.html

How do I view my results online/email my academic record?
1. Click on this link: https://onestopadmin.uts.edu.au/ Then 'I accept' on the bottom.
2. Login using your student number and password. NB: It is the same login and password as your email and UTSOnline.
3. Follow the instructions below:

Yay! =)

A quote from jasee in 2006 (this information should apply for this semester):

Click on "Results", then you may have to select your course, and then it will display your results.
I recommend logging in by 23:00 and clicking around every 5-10 minutes (anything less than that is not really needed). Don't refresh the page as it wastes resources and also sometimes logs you out. The system only allows a certain amount of people on at a time and it will give you a busy page when its full.
Results are also available via 1300 656 887, although usually not until around 9am or so.
Visit http://www.sau.uts.edu.au/exams_ass/index.html for more details.
Some other useful information:

Actually, results will be available via phone around 5pm on Tuesday by calling the results line 1300656887
NB: Results could be available at 5pm on the day before the official results release (via phone) on the UTS Results line.

Now you can know if you pass all the subjects in Autumn 07.
Just go to the result page in MSA and click "Email my complete academic record", then your record in pdf will be emailed to your UTS email account. Then check "Total credit points gained", if you pass all the subjects, then all Autumn 07 credit points are added.
Now I know I pass all at least.
NB: This may work before the official results release.
*Second quote does not work for First Semester, First Year students.

I found another way which may help you know which subject you failed.
Go to the Study Plan page. If the status of the subject you did in Autumn 07 is Enrolled, then you passed. If it is planned, then you failed.
My friend's one subject's status become "Planned" and the Total Credit Points Gained indicates that he got 18 cps in Autumn 07 and he enrolled 24 cps.
NB: This may work before the official results release.
Thanks to Jian for the info.

Did Economics today. Prediction remains the same - Distinction - but I think it's more likely to be a 75-79 Distinction than an 80-84 one, which is what I was thinking beforehand. Maybe I'll surprise myself...
they mark hard, or maybe i just didn't write as well but i thought i gunned it but when i got my results i got quite a bit less than i thought i did in the final, i thought i got about 90+ in the final as i found it easy.

Yeah.
Just after 23:59:59 on Friday,
You can email your online record to yourself. Both "Total Credit Points You Gained" and "The status of subject" will work.

I guess the subjects of this semester will also dissppear from "My Current Enrollment" page from that time.

How do you know this stuff, Jian? :S

Anyway, my grades will be terrible this semester :p

Hmm let's see..

Programming on the Internet - Pass or maybe credit but I doubt it..probably gonna be my lowest uni mark XD I really didn't care about that subject.
Project Management and Quality Assurance - Credit or Distinction..hopefully the latter..depends on how they mark the exam questions and what marks I got for my class participation and second assignment (which haven't been released yet)
Taxation Law - Pass..maybe a credit if I am lucky :p
Human-Computer Interaction - already know I got a distinction for it

I'm gonna have to pick it up next semester to maintain my business average XD

I knew it by accident. In my second semester, I kept emailing my record every day after exam.
I am doing PMQA this semester as well. I think I can only get a Credit.

Ooh... not the greatest of guestimates this semester ragnarok.
