The pathway has a requirement of scoring a 5.5+ GPA in the 1st year and have a total percentile of 50 in the UMAT to be considered for an interview

If u have not done UMAT is it possible to do UMAT during your 1st year

Also is 50 total percentile hard to achieve in UMAT

Yep, you'll have to do the UMAT exam in the 1st year, because they are only applicable for one year.
and I would say 50th percentile in retrospect isn't that difficult to acheive but UMAT is used predominately as a ranking system for the interviews, so you'd be better off acheiving higher than that.

Your UMAT still has to be at least 145 considering the S1+S2 +S3/2 scoring
