hey, i want to do veterinary science, hopefully at UQ, and i was wondering if anyone can tell me what its like, and what UQ is like, etc.

I have a friend in 3rd yr vet at UQ. She's thinking of going to New Zealand for a prac. New Zealand?? I'm not allowed to go outside of Queensland and she can go to New Zealand? Gosh. Also, she's doing a prac at a zoo.

Fiddlesticks. Found out today a friend of mine got a $6000 merit scholarship for Vet from UQ. I hope all goes well for you, OP.:spin:

lionking - scholarships for inter-staters are out, but you probably know that by now :)

Does anyone know if the course @ UQ is accredited with the AVMA?

edit. found the answer to my own question:
Graduates qualify for registration with Veterinary Boards in all Australian states. The School is accredited by the Australian Veterinary Schools Accreditation Committee and the BVSc (Qld) degree is also recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (London).
