Firstly let me make it clear I do not support calling people randoms in this particular context.

Keypad is talented, yes, but he is not brilliant. He did the hard work, he knew his stuff, and he avoided the bad lucks. Hence he topped maths.

As for your selective school point, the people who topped state in 2001 and 2002 came from private schools. So before 2004 it seemed more like private schools are better in topping this subject.

Otherwize u cant assume he is not brilliant, even if he doesnt go to maths comps and olympiads.
