this has already been argued. when working it out without any formulas, it comes out as 12. 50, the first value, is not a zooming in value and is therefore not part of the gp.

think about it. if it comes to 12.5, then if its less than 12.5 you won't get at least 400, therefore it has to be 13 terms,

i didn't have to think about it. i worked it out without using formulas. the twelfth time i zoomed in (ie. multiplied by 1.2), i got a value higher than 400.

sub in 12 and you get below 400 so 13 is the answer

iv) for that h =2 so 2/3[(20 + 60) + 4(50 + 80) + 2(70)]
so 2/3 [ (80) + 4(130) + 140]
2/3 [740]
i don't have calculator but i think thats what i did

i. complete the diagram.
ii. p (gg) + p (gxg) + p (xgg) = 1/9 + 2/27 + 2/27 = 7/27
iii. 1 - p (gg) - p (xx) = 1 - 1/9 - 1/9 = 7/9

for iii. i got 4/9.. and from your working out.. it should be..
1 - p (gg) - p (xx) = 1 - 1/9 - 4/9 = 4/9

i don't get what you're saying but i remember my answer had i think (n+2)/(n^2+n)
i THINK.

also, does anyone have the test? i.e. the questions or remember them LOL

i got 3/ n + 1, and testing it with n= 1 produces same andwer for both

That looks right, I also got those answers.

2/3 . 740 is 1480/3 --> 493/1/3

Did anyone else also get this answer?
