Hmm, I tried Metal Box probably about three years ago but I didn't appreciate it too much - but this was when I just started getting into alternative music, and i do like punk quite a bit more in general now.

So yeah, my iPod is royally fucked and it can only play on shuffle, and even then it freezes often. But at home in the past few days I've listened to:

Goldfrapp - pretty much their entire discography
The Books - all of it, but my favourite is Thought For Food
Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? (soooo much listening. I could play "The Past is a Grotesque Animal" forever I think)
Can - Delay, Soon Over Babaluma, Future Days
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Of Natural History (random rec; I wasn't really looking for metal but I tried it anyway. I could love this album if I was in the mood for it definitely)

AND I have a feeling i'm going to descend into another minimal techno phase soon.

Jah Wobble - Inspiration of William Blake (1996).

You wouldn't think that someone reading Blake's poetry over reggae/ethnic beats would work. But it does. And it's beautiful.
