To become a mod, you require a non-blue name. To acquire a non-blue name, you need to be a mod.

Clear as mud, yes?

about how to be a mod

you usually have to be responsible and the bos admin/staff trust you to mod the forum coz you can go crazy and delete all threads in the forum you are mod-ing.

There's no post limit, no length of time you must have been a member..
Some qualities you need:

* to be able to use the 'Search' function on this site
* to be able to read the FAQ
* incredible patience, a willingness to help, to take control of that forum like it's your own child (a boschild, in fact)
* respect for others on the forum

and these things help:
* to not have excessive spam threads
* to not be a party in a flaming match
* to not be involved in rep trading or rep begging

Why're you blue, BTW? Does that mean you have more or less power? Or did you just want blue? :p

^ Yes, jumb but I was wondering why it was different. :)

jm: Hmm. That sounds about right. I was just thinking normal mods are orange, super mods are red, admins are black... I was thinking maybe global mods are different from super mods, but... Occham's Razor and all.
