Why do you hate AYLI with all your being?
better question: who doesn't hate AYLI with all their being?
it's a terrible belonging text, it's not even remotely about belonging..it's just construed that way. its about critiquing politics in Elizabethan era, not a bunch of exiled people belonging to a forest

Well, all the texts selected for the HSC wasn't written specifically for the aim of the module they were selected for. However, think of it this way, your task is basically to extract meaning-see the text through a particular perspective/lens which enables you to develop a deeper appreciation of the module concept-and in this case, deeper appreciation about the complexities of belonging-whether it be through place, interpersonal relationships etc. Remember, belonging encompasses both notions of belonging and not belonging, perhaps finding good related text to relate to your prescribed would have also helped you:)-what was your related text(s)?

AOS - Romulus, My Father
Module A - Richard III/Looking for Richard
Module B -Gwen Harwood's poetry
Module C - Snow Falling on Cedars
:c Why did we have to do Richard III for Mod A? Frankenstein would've been way more interesting. I also hear that Gwen Harwood's poetry is boring as shieet.
