its ok i didnt expect a girl to know much about cars anyway
so i don't know about the structural integrity of cars- doesn't mean I know nothing.

I have done a lot of work on it myself-

replaced thermostat, flushed out radiator, replaced points, pressure test spark plugs, remove surface rust and respray, fixed a broken lock, replaced exhaust manifold bracket, tuned carbies, moved the choke, changed the steering wheel, replaced wheel bearing and a lot more.
Most girls don't even know how to change a tyre/check oil etc...
My point is, i like my car and if you don't, dat's cool yo.

I shall look down upon you from heaven after my untimely demise in a car accident.

you're a chartered accountant right? how much are you making pa. if you don't mind me asking?
PM me if you're really interested but for the record, I'm not a CA yet (fingers crossed for November). I've just been working full time in a chartered firm for 5+ years.

i thot he was jockin and still lived in his parents basement

sorry bro
It's all good. FYI bought the Evo myself as well. That being said my parents did pay for the Civic which they have since taken back when I moved out a bit over 3 years ago. (also note I'm probably a bit older than a lot of people on here).

Interestingly though I didn't want to buy a German car a couple of years back when I got my fulls because of the exact reaction you had- I didn't want everyone to think my parents bought it for me hence why I waited until now (24) before I bought this car.

Thanks to Tenchi for the photos!

If you've never done it before, save yourself the hassle and don't DIY. A few mates of mine tried DIY before and it didn't come out that well- and we wasted material too which isn't cheap.

Just doing the roof, materials will cost you around $150 (not including tools) but to get a professional to do it will be circa $400. You'll also need a few mates to help you do it since the panel pieces are quite big and you can't let it bend/fold/touch. It's like contacting your textbooks but on a car. Bubbles are not cool.

I'm not sure how much a full car costs but a few friends who have done it at various places say it costs between $3k and $5k depending on size of car and what design you want.

I've never heard of vinyl wrapping to be honest (I feel so noob at the moment). What does it do exactly? Matte finish?

Yeah you can do matte. You can also do custom designs etc etc.

I was thinking of just matte black...and no design. For 3-5k I may as well get a better car lol.

It's like contacting your textbooks.. but on a car. It's marketed as paint protection but it also can change the look of the car- it's pretty much what you posted up with the R35. Only problem for me is my car is kinda boring (i.e. it's a C class and it's not an AMG) so I'd be worried I look like a turd for wrapping a stock car.

These are the guys I usually use: http://carbonfibrevinylwrap.net.au/

They also have my Evo on there somewhere.
