Can I sell my plates or give them to a friend?

Only personalised plus number plates can be sold or transferred and transfer fees will apply. All other number plates are only transferable to immediate family members, de facto couples or between vehicles owned by the same company.

I'm fairly sure you can get the plates changed, though, you just can't sell em. But I imagine you'd have to wait til rego expires.

nope you can change plates at any time
if you have say, 6 months to rego you just pay 1/2 the annual plate fee until your rego comes around again

it's why you pay an annual fee instead of like an outright one... i know in some states i think you can sell plates. in qld its like $450 one off but then you own them and can do whatever you want with them. i'm pretty sure vic is similar. i want one of these plates haha

pretty much all there. I'm just in need of carpet really lol. Parts are always coming up along with repros on ebay so its pretty easy to get what i need.

My next plans were re-upholstering the seats with cloth inserts, because 70's seats in summer cause your back to be drenched in sweat when you hop out lol... paintjob, mags (16's) and then engine conversion to something more fun.

Although its pretty cool (and ridiculously loud), i've just lost motivation to actually go through with the plans since there is so many things i want to buy (guitars). So it will be up for sale within the next few days for around 4 grand with 12 months rego
I'll buy another one in a few more years when i have the money to throw around at it.
But yeah good cars.
