What classes would I need for comp science? (unsw (1 Viewer)

I trying to enrol at unsw and at the section 'course selection' i searched the classes for comp science and I saw literally 30 of them, and i have no idea which to add, I checked the handbook and it said MATH1081 Discrete Mathematics (6 UOC) was required but it wasnt even in the search list to add.

Then it says add: And ONE of:
MATH1131 Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)
MATH1141 Higher Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)
And ONE of:
MATH1231 Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)
MATH1241 Higher Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)

and I dont know which two I have to pick

Can someone help me out?

MATH 1B only runs in 2nd semester and MATH 1A is a prerequisite

Yeah, ENGG1000 is a recommended elective.

Typically, you only do 4 courses per semester (totalling 24 UOC). Also, COMP1927 requires you to have done COMP1917, so you can't choose COMP1927.

It does, just not directly. See the part where it says "prerequisite": http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/courses/2016/COMP1927.html

That's it telling you that you need to do x before you can do y.

The handbook is just a guide on what courses you'll have to do in order to complete your degree. It doesn't have the many small details that you need to know in order to enrol. Your program authority/school will have more specific information.

Just do all the standard first year courses. A lot of courses have prerequisites needed to do them. So do those prerequisites.
