ok, i have checked the list but i cant seem to find anything in the religous section for atheist/agnostic types...i'd be quite surprised if there wasn't one
There isn't, because atheists tend to lack a united front anywhere.

SciSoc is maybe the only thing that sort of interests/relates to me/my degree.

That and perhaps the Coptic Society :/

No, atheists dont generally form 'fronts', we leave that to the religious fanatics who seem to be all about forming 'fronts' in the name of god...no wonder there are so many friggin wars

Umm..

The labor club I will definately join.

Everything else all depends on O- week I guess.

Maybe a photography and debating club?

I;m not really sure.
Whichever has a lot of drink nights, events etc to keep me happy I will join.

Actually, WAF's right. Read The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins and you will understand. Having said that how hard is it to start a society?

$10 when I joined, and I'm pretty sure you joined at roughly the same time.

Not very. You need 20 signatures from people who want to be members iirc, then you hold an inaugarul general meeting, where the exec are elected. The minutes of the IGM and a description of the club then go to the C+S committee, who review the application and either accept or reject it. If accepted, the application then goes before the Union Board who do the same, and if they accept it you become a registered society.

is it true that you need to pay $37 to have the ability to join clubs?

If you don't have your ACCESS card you'll need to pay a $37 administration fee on top of the membership fee to join any non-faculty society (i.e. not scisoc, comsoc, sueua, suls etc), yes. As far as I know you need to pay this fee for each society you join.

I'm joining the Liberal Club, and I'm getting all my friends to join the Liberal Club, to show our gratitude for fighting for VSU.

Me neither. I'm only going to join one of those "course-related" clubs like most people are.
