I have to do a 3 min speech about a movie, tv show and a colleridge poem. I have chosen alice in wonderland but am un sure of a tv show or poem to relate to it. I'll tell you what ive written so far.

Based on the 1865 book by Lewis Carrol, Alice in Wonderland is a classic disney animated version of Alice's adventures as she follows the white rabbit into a "wonderland" of her imagination. On her journey she encounters the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of hearts and a host of other beloved characters. The characters come to life in a way that is limited by the viewers imagination. Alice follows her curiosity and takes chances regardless of the consequences. Alice in Wonderland takes you on an amazing journey through your imagination.

I then need to talk about the devices used( which i have no idea), relate it to a tv show and then to a poem talking about devices used in those too and then some up what i have learnt about imaginative journeys type thing.

yeah i agree, or maybe kubla khan, relating to a fantastical realm of individual's own device which portrays through imagery (poem) and imagined characters (film) a person's perception of both extremes of life's experiences that in the end are appreciated... hey that sounded kinda good...maybe i should use it! haha

+Have a look at the "camera angles" used in the film and explain how they create meaning: http://www.aber.ac.uk/media/Documents/short/gramtv.html
+Anthropomorphism: The white rabbit talks and so does the chesire cat
+Personification: The deck of cards are brought to life

Another thing: it seems like you'r recouting the story. Dont do this, the markers dont want to hear what the story is about, they want to know how the text portrays and imaginative journey
