What computer (1 Viewer)

I need a new computer. Have a toshiba sattelite laptop with like 192mb of ram lol and 40gig hard drive. Has trouble with age of empires 2 lol.

So i need a new one. Want to pay $1200 at the most. 2gig ram, preferably 3. Graphics card. I dont know, that why im asking you nerdlingers. Hard drive doesnt worry me that much, ie 200gig is plenty. 15inch screen. Or Desktop computer, doesnt matter. Go go go

well this depends on what kind of games u wanna play. If its just age of empires 2, then any 15" lappy should be fine, they all come with dual core processor and at least 1 or 2gigs ram.
I have an Asus M51V, similar to the aforementioned M51Sn but that has nvidia card, mine has ati card, and i can run Far Cry 2 at 1040x600 resolution and all settings on high (but vegetation on low) no lag, i can run Dead Space all on highest settings and rez on 1280x786 with no lag, unreal tournament 3 on highest settings and 1280x786 with no lag, .....and....crysis .. all on low with no lag... but crysis is a whore.

All depends on what u want to use it for, what kinda games u wanna play on it.

EDIT: maybe u can build ur own pc for that much money, u can get quite a good pc with 1200$, i wonder if certain places assemble it all for u if u dont know how to...

Don't go to fluidtek. Their prices are great but if you get something dodgy good luck getting it fixed by them. Pay 5% extra and go to itestate, umart, msy or arc. But if you're using such an old laptop then by a dell because their computers just work and you don't have to worry about doing anything yourself and if something goes wrong you're not screwed.
