You basically look at the development and application of the law and how effective it is. In HSC year, you look at the Law and society (including human rights), Crime and 2 focus studies (family, consumers, global environments, world order, shelter, indigenous people, workplace). These will depend on your teacher. Preliminary year is more basic, but you need to know cases and legislation when talking about the law to get good marks as you need to evaluate how effective it is.
