what do you need for a band 6 in english (1 Viewer)

My teacher told me 82/105. But I seriously doubt that. Aim for 90+/105 to be on the safe side.

With english, its hard to predict because paper one is out of 40%, whilst paper two is out of 60%, so BOS aligns a mark out of 100 and not 105. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say the Band 6 cutoff for english is roughly around low-mid 80%.

Not sure if this is of any help whatsoever but I got 81 in Advanced English (2010) and that was a band 5.

Is that raw, or final?

Why would it....81 is auto band 5 because band 5 is 80-89

FOr english, aim for a 82/105 or such, that is a good guestimate...

Big man dan got 87/105 last year and got 93 so yeah

Aligning isnt a fixed amount. Generally speaking, the lower you get the higher the aligning.

Well I got 87.5 raw which scaled to 93. If that helps.

Because the raw mark for english is out of 100, they would have altered it. But they dont give like half marks in the actual paper.
