  It means I have failed.
• What are the repercussions of failing/going bad?
  I'm disappointed in myself, my parents are disappointed in me, and the extended family starts gossiping about how my marks were crap and how I'm such a disappointment because I'm won't be getting a high paying job or a reputable profession.
• Will your life be over if you stuff up in the HSC?
  That is not an option

There are 27 courses at La Trobe/Southern Cross/UWS that take people with UAI's of 60 and below. Listed here.
