Errr I don't know, may be China dominated the world economy and in technology 20 out of the last 21 centuries,
Nope
and most importantly Europe's closeness to Americas and Africa allow them to capture large amount of resources and slaves for almost free.
The europeans were already advanced. They didn't become wealthy and advanced due to colonisation. It was their advancement that allowed them to conquer the world.
At their peak, the colonies of the british empire contributed 9% of economic output.
heck, even the roman empire was more advanced than 19th century china in many ways.
Northern Africans enslaved over a million europeans between 16 and 19th centuries. The arabs enslaved as many as 16 million from all over the place. Africa itself has used slaves long before the europeans went anywhere near it. And that's why all these places are so wealthy toda-
Oh wait, nope. It's almost as if slavery doesn't make a country wealthy.
And btw, the europeans virtually only used slavery in africa in places it already existed.
If Chinese were murderous maniacs like white people that kill and rape every indigenous people on the planet, do you think white would have a chance? If Zheng He killed and raped like the Europeans did, you'll be talking to me in Chinese.
The chinese were too busy killing each other in what was at least the forth most, and possibly
the most, deadly conflict in history, a conflict which would have been even more bloody had the europeans not ended it, all because some chinese idiot thought he was the brother of jesus christ and managed to get millions of backward peasants to follow him. The chinese were consistenly made the bitch of the much smaller nation of japan, and again it was european intervention that prevented china from being
The europeans could have conquered china themselves on numerous occasions. The chinese fought multiple wars with the europeans and could never hold their own, and it certainly was not because the chinese were too kind or compassionate. The only reason the chinese aren't all speaking european languages from birth is because the europeans did not want to have to try and govern such a large, spread out nation and so settled for making china their bitch.
And if you think the chinese can't be brutal, just look at the boxer uprising. A bunch of backward peasants killed tortured and raped foreign missionaries without restraint. These peasants also thought ingesting scrolls with certain words on them would give them invulnerability and subsequently got their arses absolutely handed to them, and the europeans (who were outnumbered 8 to 1) stepped in and once again made china's idiotic empress their bitch.
But anyway, China was an empire. The imperial rulers had no problem killing any number of people to secure new territories. You think places like Xinjiang volunteered to be a part of the chinese empire? lmao
The chinese were much closer to australia than europe. The reason they didn't colonise it (and probably kill all the natives while they were at it) is because they lacked the ability to do so.
Countries, tribes and nations have been conquering and exploiting other groups since the dawn of time. The idea that this is a bad thing to do is an entirely european concept (which is why the europeans are virtually the only powers in history to voluntarily relinquish conquered lands). The chinese certainly weren't of this mindset, and you suggesting that they are is just a way for you to obscure the fact the the Chinese have always been behind europeans. If the chinese were as great as you're saying they are you wouldn't need all these excuses
