What exactly is a concept? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I am doing Extension 2 this year, and I am still really confused about what exactly a concept is. Is it a sentence where I explain what I'm trying to show in my story, or can it just be a single word for the theme I'm exploring? Can someone explain exactly what the concept is?

to be honest, i don't really know how to define 'concept' but basically it's pretty much an 'idea'. So for example, the concept of 'human flaws'. Like my friend's concept for his short story/ies is 'injustice.'
