What happens if you don’t turn up to a HSC exam? (1 Viewer)

I’m not getting an atar - long story short, school fucked my units up but anyway, what happens if you miss an exam even if you’re not getting an atar?

I assume you would just get a 0 for the exam mark, so practically you get 0 + assessment mark/2 as your end HSC mark

had a conversation with someone yesterday; he got an n-award for not turning up so he couldnt get an atar or something- in that sense, it's not the same as getting a zero (from what i heard)

An ATAR is a completely separate process.

If you don't turn up, you get completely excluded from that subject. You won't even get a result, as if you never did that subject.

Thank you! I’ve graduated so guess they can’t do anything. Not eligible for an atar anyway hahaha

curious to know what happened...

They told me I couldn’t get an atar because I didn’t have the right units so I literally did a whole year of Childhood, swapped to Primary Industries, but since I missed out a whole year of PI, I’m not able to get one. But yeah nah all goods now, I’m studying Legal Service now!
