emf is electromotive force

its just the force thats created when u turn a generator, or the force used to turn a motor

im pretty sure thats what it is...

EMF is basically the equivalent of the role of voltage or potential difference in an electrical circuit but in motors/generators.

Induced emf means that you are inducing an emf in something

Easiest way to think about it is simply moving a conductor through a magnetic field. You move it through electrons are pushed to one end creating a Potential difference between the ends , which is simply an EMF (electro motive force)
