Cab someone give me a definition of what eutrophication is.I know what is but i can't define it. Thanks in advance

Excess amounts of fertilisers in waterways may lead to eutrophication. I think it's mainly phosphates that accelerate the growth of plants.

Eutrophication is the presence of excessive nutrients (especially nitrates and phosphates) in a water system, which causes algae and other aquatic organisms to grow out of control.

A body of water turns into a swamp, and then into firm land, due to an excessive amount of nutrients such as nitrates and phosphates.
