What is History Extension like? (1 Viewer)

Hi! I’m a year 11 student about to sit prelims in 2 weeks. I’m still deciding if history extension is worth it to pick up?

I do both modern and ancient and planning to keep both - is 5 units of history going to be a lot of work or will it ‘flow’ together in a way?

Even though history ext is 1 unit it seems like a lot of work?? But i would ideally like to do 11 units (currently doing 13), and I can either keep english extension 1 but i am not excelling at it and don’t enjoy the creative writing aspect to it

I was ranked tied 3rd in Modern and ranked 2nd in Ancient, if that helps!

very late but don't do it to yourself, it's a lot of work. i dropped it after a term. while it was interesting, i could not do 13 units -- there is no point doing 14 units love

I just saw this and I cant lie the "major work" had me very stressed (it was my only one) but I think its worth doing. Maybe its just because I have a good teacher for it but its definitely my favourite subject and even ignoring that im doing pretty well and that it hopefully will help out with my atar, its really changed how I see history and life in general as corny as it sounds, (its a very philosophical subject). If I could study only for pleasure I would study history ext and im a stem sorta guy who wants to do engineering (but i love history). Saying all that its my 11th unit so I can't comment on the extra workload if you can drop something else its worth picking for sure, even though this probably is way to late.
