WHAT IS THE BEST STUDY GUIDE/SUMMARY BOOK? (1 Viewer)

My subjects for year 12 are:

Business Studies
Legal Studies
Economics
Mathematics (ADVANCED)
English (ADVANCED)
Studies of Religion I

I was wondering what subject study book/guide/summary is best for each subject (e.g. excel, topnote, checkpoint etc...) i am clueless on what to buy, PLEASE HELP!

Business Studies - havent done it but the new excel book is supposed to be good
Legal Studies - Try the new excel book, also good
Economics - Macquarie, excel is too minimalistic
Mathematics (ADVANCED) - There are so many. I used excel
English (ADVANCED) - Again, the new excel book is great
Studies of Religion I - Macquarie

To be honest, a guidebook is only really necessary if your school textbook is crap or too detailed. I regretted getting one for economics because our textbook was great.

textbook is waaay to detailed for economics. what about cambridge checkpoint, i heard they were also good? also theres a new syllabus for business and legal and economics this year

I was the opposite, but thats mainly because macquarie was better at addressing my topics then excel. I guess its a personal preference thing with guidebooks.

True. I do use both for references sometimes.

I would say anything with a wide range of questions (easy to hard) rather than just heaps. Doesn't excel get easy?

To be honest, study guides for HSC pretty much suck. You're much better off taking someone else's notes.

Eco - excel is pretty shit - dont bother

For Eco, I'd recommend Tim Dixon...or notes (I have both availalbe if you're interested)
