I noticed something called "difference equations". What are those?

A huge complaint that has been bubbling ever since the beginning was that there was too much emphasis on society/history at the expense of deeper theoretical knowledge.
I still feel like the sciences have too much content and 9 markers reliant on history lessons. The ib only restricts those to 3/4max marks and way less intensive and memorisation orientated, and their physics course seems way more engaging and immersive.

They are effectively the discrete versions of differential equations.

This is a first order differential equation

The new stage 5 electives look so weird (I listed them below). Like, which faculty does 'philosophy' or 'critical thinking' come under. There's going to be a lot of new staff training I'm guessing.
  • Big History
  • Critical Thinking
  • International Studies
  • iSTEM
  • Outdoor education
  • Philosophy
  • Psychology
RIP Commerce, one of my fav Y9 and 10 subjects.
wait, are they removing commerce?
anyone got a link where they say they are removing commerce?
Yeah I guess so, possibly closest thing to commerce would be "international studies" but that doesnt even seem like commerce even then.
so there's only 7 electives now?
They are not removing Commerce. For those wondering, those electives apply to school-developed course not board developed courses. Commerce is the latter:
