What are you asking?

A high distinction is defined as a mark over 85 in a course.

Your WAM is just the average of all your marks throughout uni.

Unless "HD" stands for something other than high distinction, the question doesn't make sense.

In many other faculties (including some schools in faculty of science) courses are scaled before marks are released. The grade definitions are only done for the final mark released and the raw mark is unknown. So it is not based on a raw mark in many cases.

Again, a high distinction is defined as a final mark of over 85 in a course.
