I thing my favourite book for the past two years has been Duncton Quest by William Horwood. It is a brilliant book, very well written, great storyline.
It is about moles though, (moles the animal of course;)) but don't let that put you off, it rocks. anyone else read it?

Some other books you could read is basically any of Jonh Marsden's books...except for Out of Time...thats pretty crap. :)

Life of Pi, God's Concubine, Hades Daughter...they're all good books too.

The three little kittens, who lost their mittens

.....and they began to cry "Oh mother dear, oh dear we fear, our mittens we have lost"
"What!? Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens, you shall have no pie!"

Probably Heir to The Empire and the rest of the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn- he is an awesome science fiction author.

I also like all of John Marsden's books that i have read in particular the Tomorrow Series.

It's really hard for me to choose out of all the books i have read though because i read so many those are just the few that i can think of that i NEVER get tired of.

All this text scares me.

the best read of your life will be J. Foulcher's 'convertible' - aussie poetry boring from the romantics.

I haven't read a great amount of books, but my favourite is probably Catch 22.

Hitchhiker's Guide and To Kill A Mockingbird are great too.

These are pretty basic suggestions, oh well.

Any Harry... but that goes without saying.

In the Skin of a Lion - Michael Ondaatje.

Finding Cassie Girls - Jaclyn Moriarty

The Sisterhood...

Cruel Venus - Susan Lewis

The Boy Next Door - Meg Cabbot

All very girl, easy holiday reads.

nice :)

1984 by same and Emma by Jane Austen.
cos ive read them again and liked them just as much as the first time, tho i think Austen gets better the more you read it.

LOTR by Tolkien i just love tho, so ill put that in as well. also 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Márquez.
