What is your current record for number of pages written in a 40 minute exam or assessment...considering it is an extended response or essay. When I get my paper I always write as fast as I can but it ends up pretty messy but readable, and in 40 minutes the other day for Business Studies I wrote a record 11 pages in 40 minutes under exam conditions in class.

So how many do you write. I here the average is like 4 pages or somethin.

In the HSC I wrote 12 pages in 40 minutes. It's hard to generalise about the average because the lines you write on may be bigger than usual (for example in the HSC booklets)

I wrote 47 pages in total for my Ancient Hist exam - so what's that, like... 12 pages per (40 min) essay

Are you doing the HSC in 2003 "blah says she"?

You get used to writing a lot in a short space of time. When you know you have to write 3 essays in 2 hours you are forced to write a lot, and think quickly.
