I know we are doing one next term, finding the acceleration due to gravity, using a simple pendulum

Pendulum is a very common experiment to measure the acceleration due to gravity but there is also another experiment using a water-drop method. Not as common as pendulum. Anyway that's just a bit from one module- you'll be doing 4 modules so depending when in the year you do your practicals, they may differ
