Okay uhh, i'm kind of in the same situation..pondering stuff..
Well, i got my yearlies today and i totally bombed out T.T, i got like..30%.
Half-yearlies i didn't do so bad, i got around 50ish, yeah i know it's low and i've been bludging blah blah, and becos of my laziness i'm prlly goonna drop to general but, main thing i'm concerned about is pre-reqs @ uni.
Most things require "mathematics" and don't say general, and atm i'm interested in something in the health sciences area, possibly radiation therapy or something in the area.
According to my tutor teacher(who's been pressuring me to drop for awhile now ;<<) that "mathematics" also includes general maths..is this true? doesn't seem right =/
I'm pretty sure alot of the sciencey subjects require advanced..so..any tips? =/

Yeah what everyone else said. Drop.

And zuey: Your maths teacher has not a single clue what she is talking about. Around 4% of the total number of candidates got band 6 in 2007. That's around 1200 people.

Quite statistically impossible, eh?

i did 2unit for my hsc,
last year i was getting really really low marks,
this year it picked up alot, and since alot of people dropped it made the class smaller and easier to work in.
but then i did terribly in half yearly's this year.
i suggest you just get a tutor, put the effort in,
heaps of people went to general at our school and are failing that too
because they didnt put the effort in.
