This is probably a dumb question but I received my novel (Great Gatsby) to read over the holidays in preparation for my Module A - Intertextual Perspectives but I realised that I don’t know anything about this module lol
Ideally I’d like to read the novel and write notes according to the rubric/module but I literally have no idea what this module is about because we weren’t given anything before end of year except for the novel...
Should I just read normally, writing key points kinda like diary type style on the characters of the novel or should I learn the rubric and module myself, then read the novel and write notes that relate to the module?

I would recommend knowing what the Module is about first before reading the novel. I guess this allows you to actively search for any good quotes or techniques related to the Module when you're reading it.
