And you don't write to BOS, UAC and the newspapers to have your name omitted, you tell bos not to release your name to the papers. Even still in the paper it says something along the lines of 'name withheld'

It should be able to provide an indication of your UAI in any year though.

It does give an indication based on previous years. It can't give you an exact estimate because SAM is unaware of how the canditure performed this year. By comparing most of the estimate UAIs and actual UAIs people received here, there isn't much different anyway.
