I'm assuming you mean what waves the Wireless WI-FI modem produces, they are electromagnetic.

and to the guy that said electro-currents - that's wrong, teh intarw3bz are sent over fibre optics over longer distances

actually, that answer was in references to wires. fibre optics =/= wires

Pretty much visible light and microwave, visible light for fibre optics and microwave for wifi/satellites.
