You want it to be emotional, but you don't want to it be sad.

The PERFECT song is Blink 182 - Dammit. It's got the growing up element to it, essential for this period in your life, but it also has an uplifting, energy filled feel to it.

I actually think that's a really, really good song for that moment.

The lyrics are fitting, and the tempo isn't depressing. Plus it's not obscure that you never hear it, but it's not so popular that you'll get sick of hearing it.

Plus, it'll probably feel pretty special when you hear it sometime down the line.
