it's pretty easy to get over 110 at home but it's different in the exam, however most of the mistakes made are stupid careless errors-

Yip, i know u've been goin pretty well

marks in practice ones

1990-117
1991-114
1992-haven't done yet
1993-109-stuffed this one bad, that beast from sydney grammer got 120 tht year
1994-114-fairly easy and the list goes on-VERDICT-2000 was in my opinion the hardest

Sydney tech-but i'm duxing 4u there so yeah-i dunno i guess the questions were to my liking i.e easier circle geomwtry and harder other questions. Yip's getting going good too-he's from tech too-we got a pretty good grade this year.

I didn't like 2005 very much, the circle geo and the q8 conics were kinda dodgy...i would say its one of the harder papers, 2004 and 1999 were nice, especially 2004's 8b lol. i agree that 2000 was possibly the hardest paper after 93. 1991 was also nice, i did it entirely while in KFC :p i guess popcorn chicken and oily chicken vapors helps in maths lol

yeh i remembered doing 2000, it was so frustrating...
for me im aiming for 90-100 ... tries to get 1-6 all correct (shouldnt be too hard) and 7-8, do the ones i can and skip the one i cant (be selective) because attempting them would be a watse of time.

lol sydney tech... no wonder :D i heard tons of mathematical geniuses go thru there... my school is selective too but it's not very good at maths - specialty is english and languages. are ur school trial 4units as hard as hsc or more hard? my school's arent much compared to hsc ><

I found 2005 easy(i got everything except the very last bit on the locus of conics one) i got a mark around 117 for that as well but i reckon 93 is certainly up there with the hardest as Yip said-i reckon that was one of the hardest circle geometry questions they've asked-i dunno u guys might differ in ur opinion but that's my personal opinion. I haven't done 2004 as yet-mostly i skip the first few questions if i think i can do them pretty easily-i'm stuffed today-the heat plus some of the hsc questions from the sixties-gahhhh-plus i gotta do some english practice. To PF-nah our trial i thought was pretty easy-they scabbed a lot of questions from past catholic trials-did ya notice Yip? our q6,7,8,3,2 were from previous catholic trials.
By the way LOTTOX do u know a guy called jesse luu? he's a friend of mine, goes to NSBHS as well. And also the guys that do get high marks in 4U don't get scaled up as much so aslong u get over 100 ur set.

2005 was identified by the likes of terry lee and andrew ngai as one of the hardest exams in recent times (i.e. within the last 15 years), 2004 on the other hand was one of the easiest.
2005 was fairly average IMO. Very straight foward.

There were much harder ones from previous years.

i agree completely-there were more lead up questions although each worth fewer marks making that aspect of the test easier-i think we can expect something similar this year

wow, i am very intimidated. I have been doing 4 unit this yr, but doing minimal work.
It's like 5 days out till the start of the HSC and i have only done 2, 4 unit past papers. I got like 65/120 in 2000, and 67/120 in 2001....

looks like i have a bit of cramming to do. Hopefully if i stop making stupid errors i can clutch an 80, but in all seriousness, i honestly can't get a single mark out of Q's 7 and 8. mmm, maybe i should just go study some english...

 Do you mean that if you're aiming for, say, 95 (scaled), generally speaking 100+ is the mark to get?

P.S. Creativity? Really? I'm starting to feel happy that i chose to do 4u in the end :)

Creativity: meaning that you need to think out of the box, tackle basic concepts from a different point of view. Not colour in the circles with your red and blue pens.

Hahaha that's a good one Ragin :)

I understood what you meant, i like creativity in all its shapes, sizes, oh and yes Ragin, even colours (although it obviously won't help this time :p)

Low to mid eighties, maybe even a higher one. Depends on the difficulty and performance of all candidates.
