from the top of my head...

isotope --> atoms with the same number of protons, but different number of neurons (ie. same atomic number, but different mass number); different atoms types of the same element

allotrope --> same element, but different structural arrangement?? like diamond and charcoal are allotropes of the element carbon, because their structure varies?

i think that's right........... ;)

Allotrope is the same element with a different structure like for carbon there is diamond and graphite.

Isotope is a substance with the same atomic number but with a different mas number like carbon-12 and carbon-14.

Allotrope: A form of the one element which has different physical properties due to a difference in the molecular structure. E.g. of allotopres include white, red and black phosphorus.
Isotope: A form of an element which has a greater atomic mass due to the greater number of neutrons present in the nucleus. Isotopes become more unstable as the number of neutrons increase in the nucleus. E.g. of isotopes include, carbon-12 and carbon-14, where the number in the name denotes the mass of the atom.

An allotrope is something that is made of the same element, but comes out as a different form. Eg diamonds and graphite, they're both made of carbon, but diamonds are hard and shiny, whereas graphite (it's the stuff in lead pencils) is soft and grey-ish coloured. So, you can say that diamonds and graphite are allotropes of carbon.

An isotope is an atom that has the same number of protons as its element, but a different number of neutrons. Because isotopes have more/less neutrons than its element, it wil have a different mass. Eg uranium has an isotope such as uranium 235
