I'm thinking of doing a bachelor of commerce, particularly marketing/finance majors. My interests are trading and entrepreneurship (could go into marketing but I've heard it's full of really odd people).
I'm wondering:
Math is assumed knowledge but I'm only doing 2 unit, what is it used for, particularly in these majors? In finance for example do you develop functions to value investment strategies/commodities or build actual computer applications to (for example) perform Monte Carlo visualisations?
How interesting is the content, for those of you with a decent interest in business?
What're initial/future job prospects like in the wealth management/business analysis/marketing professions for graduates?
Any particular advice about b com at UNSW/USyd?
