Whats involved in the CA program..

HOw many years is the study, at what stage can you begin this,, (after graduation and maybe some work exp?) and what subjects and how long does this program go for?

ALso, as i'v seen in overseas job advertisements, especially US, they go for people with MBA's and CPA's, obviously their CPA is not the Australian one, but is the CA post graduate equivalent, higher rank?

thanks in advance...

The current CA course is made up of 5 modules. You can start after 26 weeks of work experience.

To get the qualification you need 3 years of work experience and pass the 5 modules.

google > icaa should help.

Well you generally need to do an accounting degree that satisfies pre-entry requirements, which can be seen here. Then you need to enter the CA Program
Alternatively you can enter after doing an non-accredited qualification, which is explained here

Each module goes for about 3 months, and there are 3 terms in a year (the final module EBA is seperate), so you can finish the program in about 1.5 years and get the qualification after 3 years work (as redrum mentioned)
