Isn't the law if you get a shift it has to be minimum 4 hours???!cyclonesarah said:$9.32/hour KFC (18 but goes on when you did yr 10 ... im Yr10 + 3 cause i did yr 10 in 2000)

3 or 4, depending on the exact work you're doing. Sometimes you can do less if it's voluntary, but it's one of those rules that's rarely enforced unless a complaint is made.yenta said:Isn't the law if you get a shift it has to be minimum 4 hours???!
There's also a factor of what industry your in, and if you're in retail, what nature of work it is. Sony Worldwide in NSW has a minimum of 4 hours for any casual, as a lot of casuals work in the warehouses here, and they've just made it standardised across the company.jezzmo said:Casual - shortest shift = 2hrs
Part time - shortest shift = 2hrs30mins
That's good, but yes, the employment laws are weird and complex.yenta said:Oic, just thought it was minimum 4 hours cos whenever my bf works less than 4 hours he still gets paid for the full 4 hours.
wow. Impressive. Where's it at?overthaedge said:$17.50 per hr, call-centre. and im 17.
