gosh, i went backwards once
my first job was waitress/bar staff at a bowling club. it was $18hr, which when ur still in school was pretty good
when i did some gay admin work for a year, i started on $10hr went to $15hr, then i worked as a dental nurse WHICH FRIGGIN SUCKED SO HARD. it was $13hr

and now i am where i am

My first job at 19 was as a uni librarian. 4 hours per night @ $18 / hr after tax. Not as boring as it sounds considering 'work' = stacking shelves for 30 mins the most and the rest spent at the desk surfing the net and answering the odd query. Now I get paid $24 / hr as a technician taking photos of new uni students and printing out student cards. During the semester I scan docs and print out student cards. Well if you want easy work + great pay; work at uni if you're studying!
