When buying textbooks should I.. (1 Viewer)

... Wait until the first lecture or buy them now before any cheap/good 2nd hand ones sell out?

I'm doing:
Econ1203
Mgmt1001
Acct1501
Econ1101

And also for the Acct1501 the textlist says 5ed which is new so is it better to buy a new one or buy 4ed since it wont change much? or just wait until the lecture?

New editions don't change much each year, basically they try to extort money from new students each semester

But for ACCT1501 I might wait to see what the lecturer says about using the older edition. Sometimes the end of chapter questions are a complete new set and you will need it for homework and stuff or if there are new case studies then the new edition is needed as it could be examined in the finals
