when does uni start usually? (1 Viewer)

hi

im planning a nice long holiday a few weeks after my HSC.

the thing is, when does university start? or does it depend on which Uni you go to
i dont mean like the exact date, but the months first year uni students start going to uni. i heard its around late February for most unis.
and
is my presence really required at home the months leading up to uni? like how difficult is the actually enrolling process.
is it like a phone call of "hey hatty, you got 99 UAI, the cutoff was 80, you're in, come to uni on 1st march blah blah blah"
or is it more complicated then that? with forms and stuff being thrown all over the place.
i just wanna know cuz i wanna get ready for my little break soon.

UOW O-week is 16/2

but we start the ealiest 1 week b4 UNSW macq, 2Week b4 sydney

As far as I know, UNSW is the only uni with online enrollment, meaning you have to be here IN PERSON during late January to enrol into your degree, or have someone enrol on your behalf (get that paperwork done early, before you leave)

yeah, the online enrollment is awsome, why is UNSW so advanced

newcastle is mid-late feb for o-week.
and we have online enrollments (although, i think from memory, you have to visit student services to do your hecs form [perhaps im wrong] and get your studentcard).

No, you can get someone to do it on your behalf as Minai mentioned. At least you can at Usyd and UNSW by the sounds.

uni starts in march
