I just use books and the internet. Articles and magazines if a variety of sources are required to maximise your marks.

Very similar to my preferences.jellybelly59 said:In rank of which ones i generally go to first for info:

2. Books from local library (woot cabramatta whitlam library )
3. Databases and articles on State library
4. Other internet resources (SMH, wiki, sparknotes and other random websites)
That's pretty much what I do... even the part about going to the Whitlam library - Fairfield library is so dodgy so I go to the one in Cabra.jellybelly59 said:In rank of which ones i generally go to first for info:

Yeah but you can't borrow stuff from the State Library...Zantico said:In yr 11 we're not even allowed to use wikipedia. u get crucified for it =D
erm in the end our whole year just ended up using the state library. its the best place to find resources so yea
textbooks yes! ebooks on google wow! They are alright but they hurt my eyes ..so i prefer to go straight to the library if websites don't helpI like to start on the internet. Find a few good sites and get an idea of what the subject is about, what I should be looking for, etc. Then, I usually head over to google books to have a look at some ebooks, and if I find anything worthwhile, I can go get it at the library or just use the google version.
Depending on the topic, textbooks are also somewhat useful.
Punny.Books (Encyclopedias) then the net. When it come to research for assignments, I forbid myself from using Wikipedia.
According to my schoolmates, for an SOR assignment, a fair few relied heavily on Wikipedia. Little did they know that the information presented was irrelevant, perhaps false. God knows what happened from there on.
