I really wanna move out when I finish hsc, but I reckon that aint gonna happen, but maybe I might if I get a good steady income to support myself during uni...

I honestly don't know how people stay at home so long. I moved out a week before uni started and that was that. Granted, I had to move long distance for uni but I don't even have a room in my parents house now. Too many siblings, too many fights. I love my family, but they're best in small doses which means never moving back there.

I moved out post-HSC for a while. Now, living with parentals once more, there's a little more time, a few more overbearing authoritative figures, and family.

I'll most probably move out when I make a little more than a little more than bare necessities (rent, groceries, bills), and can buyback my piano and everything that's ascribed to me, including child-rearing debt / [something logical and practical].

When it is financially viable to do so (to feed my expensive habits would be over $500 a week, which is just insane with a law degree) so probs when I'm finished.

I'm in no hurry to leave - I come from a Presbyterian family where boys are the centre of the universe. I have a massive bedroom, ensuite and another room where I keep my clothes and my parents give me an $100 weekly allowance. Life's pretty good on the homefront!

you seem quite young to be moving out... any particular reasons? (if you dont mind me asking)
Fighting with my dad non-stop
abuse
etc

I ran away so many times I figured I'd save myself, and my friends+family a lot less worry if I just stayed in one place. So I moved out :) No more fighting :) (At least not for me).

plus now I can focus on my school work without the worry of whether there will be a fight on the weekend, or when I return home from school.

I'm just over halfway through my 4 yr degree, still living at home. I'm going to move to Melbourne after I graduate.

After university, when I have a stable full time job, when I save enough.
