inner-west is brilliant to live in. East and North Shore are a close 2nd and 3rd for me. Upper North Shore it's such a pain getting anywhere without a designated driver.

nightlife: Newtown (king st), Glebe, Leichhardt (Norton)

Eastern Suburbs: Darling Point, Paddington (five ways), Woollahra (galleries)

LNS: Mosman, McMahons Point/Lavender Bay, Willoughby

UNS: if you enjoy upmarket seclusion then Wahroonga
