The later is definantly a factor the former also likely.....Not-That-Bright said:Our perspectives have become much closer and our respect for one anothers views has increased. There are few new people comming in that are participating and presenting radically different perspectives.
Maybe it's partially our fault
I'd say its also partly driven by almost lemming like behaviour, as people have left for their varying reasons (neo, rorix, asqy [sorta], ziff) the subsequent degraded state of the forum combines with other reasons and encourages more to do so (Generator, Moonlight) and others to post infrequently (iron, waf/calculon, leetom, erawami). Looking at these lists I can but think that I too will drift away, certainly in recent times I have posted less here than say this time last year.
Perhaps I should put myself down now? If things continue on their current trajectory I would not expect me to still be around by first semester next year. Except in the ANU forum easing the transition for 1st years.
Too think in the past I aspired to modship of NCAP, now I fear that the next mod will inherit the poison chalice of a dying forum.
/sorry post break-up I slip into depressed talk far easier than I used to.
As a side note: I think that Moonlights contribution to the mod squad will be sorely missed. I have seen no other Mod who can on the one hand act impartially to balance needs of order with needs of freedom yet on the other be so approachable. His style has certainly not been the smiting from the heavens that we have seen before.
