im a bus/law student starting this year. Do i just need to go to some UTS bookstore and theyll tell me what i need?or are they issued to us?whats the procedure?thanks.x.

textbooks exchange is also good for buying good quality 2nd hand textbooks

you should have received an email from your lecturer to see what books you might need for this semester

oh for people that did med sci 1 (91701) last year, how much does the notes pack cost?

i would say u should wait till ur first lecture. thats what im doing for my books, unless ive been told directly otherwise by a lecturer. theres absolutely no point buying a textbook that could cost up to like $100 when u find u might not even need or use it, plus heaps of them are in the library anyway or u have notes packs.

Great, i'll have to buy my notes pack monday morning, what is with uni related things closing on weekends.

UTS Union hasn't got enough money to open it on weekends.
The Union Shop assistants are normally university students btw.

Just read an article in the Sun Herald today--> around 5% of UTS students have joined the Student Association (voluntary student unionism).

I paid the union fees but i havent paid the money for the student association yet cuz im poor :(

and that figure is sad

i think that figure just shows the perceived value of joining the union.

make it worthwhile and people will join.
